It is very easy to use the PSP as multimedia player for your photo’s, music and video files. Just make sure to use the correct file formats and store the files in the correct locations on the memory stick.
- Digital photo files need to be in BMP, GIF, JPEG, JPG, PNG or TIF format and stored in folder: PICTURE.
- Digital music files need to be in HMA, MP3, MP4, WAV or WMA format and stored them in folder: PSP/MUSIC.
- Digital video files need to be in AAC, AVC or MP4 format and stored in folder: VIDEO.
- Flash video files need to be in SWF format and stored in folder: FLASH. Use the Internet browser and insert the file location into the address bar to view: file:/FLASH/filename.swf.
Notes:
- It is assumed you have the latest firmware installed for support of the mentioned media formats and file locations.
- It is possible to create subfolders in order to organize your files in categories or albums, but another subfolder in an existing subfolder will not be recognized.
