When opening a file directly from a shared folder on the local area network a warning message appears that looks something like this:

This page has an unspecified potential security risk.
Would you like to continue?

or

Do you want to open this file?
While files from the Internet can be useful, this file type can potentially harm your computer. If you do not trust the source, do not open this software.

In order to stop these warning messages from appearing you need to add the PC or server that hosts the file to the “Local Intranet Zone”:

1. Open the Control Panel
2. Open Network and Internet
3. Open the Internet Options
4. Click Security tab
5. Select Local Intranet
6. Click Sites
7. Click Advanced
8. Insert the network name of the PC and click Add
9. Close all opened windows.
