These are the results of my last attempt to install the Ubuntu distribution, the 32-bit “Ubuntu Desktop Edition” also known as “Karmic Koala”, on my HP Compaq 6730s notebook PC.

After a fresh install of Ubuntu I noticed that I was not automatically offered to upgrade to the latest version of the Mozilla Firefox web browser.
Windows Fonts in Ubuntu

When I browse the Internet from an “Ubuntu PC” I find that the web pages look very different to browsing them using a “Windows PC” because of the different core fonts used such as Times New Roman, Arial, Courier, etc.
Windows XP Mode on Windows 7

Running programs in Windows XP mode is very simple under Windows 7.
